Hotel in kandavu

My favorite island of all the islands in Fiji.  Not bad place to rest your head.  Fifteen minute boat ride from the airfield to the resort.

Outside view.  What a beautiful place.  Yes, we work really hard, most of the time.

One of our converts.  we loved seeing this Iguana.  It was the most beautiful florescent green.

Promise we didn't dive.

Lovely food, atmosphere, and such wonder hosts.

The plane to Kandavu

Here we are on our way to the island of Kadvau.  It is south of Suva.  We are going with Elder and Sister Walker.  Elder and Sister McFaddin in the back are wishing us well.

The mighty plane we were on.  A fourteen seat plane..  There were six of  flying  out.

Yes, you get to watch the pilot and all the instruments.  One time we were flying in a plane like this and the pilot kept tapping on the instrument panel.  Well in a few minutes they took us all of the plane, put us on another one.  Good thing we have faith.

Tunga National Rugby Team

This is the professional rugby team from Tonga.  We were staying at the same hotel in Lautoka (a city on the west side of the island)  We were there doing training and auditing.

As luck has it, the hotel manager happens to e a member.  So she introduced the team to us.  They were so gracious and kind to us.

This is a big I mean BIG group of guys.  It was fun meeting them.  We later found out that a few of them were members.

This is their autographs they signed for our grandson (rugby player from St. George)

Fort D

Believe it or not, we are checking on a investigator, a darling little Hindi girl we check on each time we come here.  She wants to know more but her mom forbids it.  Just part of the job.  Somebody has to do it.

We are at Port Danerou in the west end of the island.  It is a modern out door mall like you would see in the states. A big tourist trap.  The ships come in to this port and many of the cruz ships.

We are here with Romlus, a great guy we work with at the service center

Myself I have the onion rings and burger.  Elder Wells likes it with fries.  Great meat, you can actually taste beef  Not mystery meat we get other places.

Look really close from left to right, you can see the sleeping giant.  This is one of many minnie grocery stores compare the modern above and this picture.  You see the contrast all over the island.

Nabua trip

There are no paved roads to Nabua.  Kent and Elder walker going to train priesthood today

School is open

Pres.Koliqnnata home, also serves as the chapel for the branch in Nabua

Babboo rafts the fishermen go out on.

Coconuts layed in rows.  They sprout and grow into trees.

Sister Walker and Sister Wells preparing primary supplies as we get ready to go do some training with a new primary president.

Sister Wells going into the modern market in SavuSavu

This is the Hotel Hot Springs in SavuSavu. Nice but not so modern inside.  Over look the beautiful harbor.

This is a pearl farm in SavuSavu  on the island Vuna Levu.  There are cages  all thru this water.  Black pearl is so beautiful.

This is the famous Jock Cousteau resort.  Here auditing, meet a darling girl wanting the missionaries.

Many coconut farms.  Signs everywhere warning people to watch for falling coconuts.

Here is some more pine trees.

Elder Gadd from Orem.  His mother is our grandson's teacher.  Fine young elder.  He was our driver on this trip.
